iPods Fly Off Shelves

The iPod might be the gift this year. It is both popular and sometimes hard to find as some stores have been reporting shortages. The iPod from Apple Computers is a portable music player that can be used with iTunes, a digital music service that sells songs for 99 cents each. The iPod comes in several different colors and styles. The iPod Mini is very popular as the smaller and thinner trend continues in portable electronics. Cases and covers for the iPod are also popular. Katu.com reports that analysts estimate four million iPods will be sold this holiday season. Katu.com also reports that retailers like Amazon.com and Circuit City have reported iPod outages and shortages.
